Anônimas is a mixed media work that celebrates the life of radical revolutionary women in South America, those who participate in actions considered ‘terrorism’ by the state. The artist’s point of view is that a radical action is a response to the state violence and not a terrorist. During dictatorship in SouthAmerica women used to embroidery and patchwork on cheap surfaces such as potato sacks to denounce tortures suffered by them, their families and political comrades in the jail.
